Six Senses Laamu is delighted to welcome Annette Siegrist, export manager of the Dr. Burklin Wolf Estate, as host of a special wine dinner at LEAF restaurant on September 29. The four-course dinner will be served on a secluded strip of beach near LEAF, while Annette presents four Dr Burklin Wolf Estate wines to complement the meal.

The Dr. Burklin Wolf Estate in Wachenheim at Weinstrasse has a history and tradition that dates back to 1597. It is one of the largest and most important estates in Germany, pioneering change in German viticulture ever since. It is in its 210-acre (85-hectare) vineyards in the uniquely advantaged landscape of the Mittelhardt district, that the Burklin family still produces top quality Riesling wines, in harmony with nature.
The estate is now run by Bettina Burklin von Guradze, the eldest daughter of Dr. Albert Burklin. She inherited the estate in 1990 and still carries on where her ancestors left off and at the same time leads it with her own vision. The key objective always remains to produce top quality Riesling wines and to respect and maintain the inherited resources for the generations to come. In 2005, the entire vineyard area was converted to certified biodynamic methods, making it the only non-French wine estate to be a member of the highly respected French Association of Biodynamic Wine Producers, Biodyvin.
